You think about it, an emergency stop raises the front of the float a few degrees, without these features weight transfers to the rear axle skidding the front wheels. Crash!!
You can't compromise on safety that’s why these features are standard on a Unicorn Float.
Load Share Suspension and axles rated at 2500kg along with light truck tyres on alloy wheels provide the complete suspension package to smooth out the bumps and safely carry your valuable cargo.
Construction
Frame is RHS steel (rectangular hollow section), Galvanized
internally and externally forms the chassis and frame providing robust
strength and maximum protection.
The frame is sandwiched between zincanealed sheeting. The outer skin is bonded to the frame maximising strength and making the float rattle free while avoiding the rust problems associated with rivets.
Unicorn designed door handles, breeching door and ramp latches have an
easy push close and lock action. All are recessed or flush faced for safety.
Lights
Lights: To provide years of trouble free lighting our Stop Tail and Turning
lights are flush mounted with polycarbonate lenses and sonically sealed
housings. Side marker L.E.D.lights are also fully sealed against dust and
moisture and are also virtually unbreakable.
Paint
Unicorn Floats high level of finish is achieved using Automotive two pack paints.
These paints are particularly resistant to fading therefore
retaining a high level finish enhancing the value of your investment in the years to come.
Flooring
F27 heavy duty hardwood ply is bonded together with synthetic phenolic resins which are set and cured by heat and pressure under controlled conditions to form a strong durable bond. When fitted in the float the flooring is screwed and glued with all edges sealed to lock out moisture. Rubber is then bonded and sealed to the flooring.
Door Handles External : Recessed handles for safety.
Door Handles Internal : Flush faced, designed for safety.
Self Locking Ramp : Spring assisted with push shut locks. The locks are easy to use, adjustable and strong.
Top Rear Door : Gas strut assisted.
Breeching Doors : 400mm breeching doors close horse into stall by self locking as they are pushed closed. Breeching doors have pre-loaded spring tension to hold the door open for easier, safer loading.
Centre Divider : The centre divider is padded and incorporates a shoulder divider as standard. There is no rear leg for your horses to knock their legs.
Internal Tie Off Loops : Cast from Brass manganese for strength and moulded round edges.
External Tie Off Loops : Cast from Brass manganese for strength and moulded round edges.
Side Windows : Tinted with all weather seal.
Access Doors Interior Skin : For additional safety protection of outside skin.
